Basic Function
The Cafeteria Worker is responsible to the Cafeteria Manager for the preparation of nutritious meals to the faculty and students of the building in a most efficient, clean, and
friendly way.

Principal Activities
The Cafeteria Worker shall:
1. Prepare food as directed by the Cafeteria Manager.
2. Follow the Cafeteria manager's directions for size and price.
3. Prepare and serve food to the students and faculty in a courteous manner.
4. Assist in removing of food from storage, assist in the storage of supplies and commodities when received, and assist in cleaning the kitchen each day when the last lunch
line has ended.
5. Assist with banquets and any other extra-curricular activities that are performed by the kitchen.
6. Cooperate with fellow workers and Cafeteria Manager.
7. Report all accidents to the Cafeteria manager.
8. Daily cashier responsibilities for both breakfast and lunch.
9. Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.

Physical Demands
As listed but not limited to
1. Lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
2. Frequent bending, scooping, grasping, and reaching.
3. Standing for extended periods of time for the majority of the shift.
4. Occasional pushing and/or pulling.
5. Carrying up to thirty (30) pounds.
6. Occasional climbing of step stools and/or step ladders.

Primary Relationships
A. Cafeteria Manager
The Cafeteria Worker shall be directly responsible to the Cafeteria Manager.
B. Director of Food Services
The Cafeteria Worker shall be directly responsible to the Director of Food Services in all areas of responsibility directly supervised by the Director.
C. Students
The Cafeteria Worker shall serve the students in a courteous manner.
D. Faculty
The Cafeteria Worker shall serve the faculty in a courteous manner.
E. Public
The Cafeteria Worker shall strive to cooperate with the public in a courteous manner making efforts to promote the goals of the school district's food service program.
