Pay
This position is an hourly position at pay grade 113.
Attendance
Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities
* Perform field inspections of plumbing and mechanical components and ensure construction location conforms to adopted Codes and Ordinances
* Maintain records on all inspections performed and perform data collection and data entry relating to inspections
* Coordinate with design professional, developers, contractors, and homeowners regarding building inspection activity
* Maintains records on all inspections performed and performs data collection and data entry relating to inspections
* Operate a mobile laptop computer
* Operate City vehicle from project site to project site
* May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Requires a High School Diploma/GED
* Minimum of six (6) years of experience
* State of Texas Plumbing Inspector license required to be obtained within twelve (12) months of employment
* A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

* Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
