How You Will Contribute

As a Medical Editor, you collaborate with a group of individuals with diverse skills to accomplish a common goal: to create materials and programs that meet-or even exceed-Red Nucleus standards and client expectations.

You work closely with your Client Service Director (CSD), who has direct management responsibility for the larger team, as well as your team Senior Project Managers (SPMs)/Project Managers (PMs). You collaborate with the Medical Directors (MDs), Senior Medical Writers (SMWs)/Medical Writers (MWs), Instructional Designers (IDs), Artists, Developers, and Associate Project Managers (APMs) to edit and quality assure deliverables in a timely manner. You also work closely with the Sales/Marketing team to edit proposals, pitch decks, and marketing materials/resources. Finally, you work interdepartmentally to assist with overflow editorial needs from other teams or offices.

Responsibilities include:
  • Proofreading and editing medical/scientific-related scripts, storyboards, print layouts, and multimedia presentations to ensure their correctness, clarity, and quality
  • Assuring correctness and functionality of deliverables (e.g., e-learning modules, simulations, e-blasts, mobile applications) by being detailed oriented in editing, content review, and quality assurance
  • Reference checking and compilation

About You
  • BA/BS in English or related subject; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an editor/quality coordinator (agency setting is a plus but not required)
  • Experience ensuring the quality of multimedia programs
  • Experience using databases a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in the life sciences industry a plus
  • Pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or biotechnology sales training experience a plus
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, and to prioritize those tasks
  • Ability to handle multiple and changing deadlines
