Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Tax Administrator to support our Corporate Tax Department with a variety of administrative and para-professional duties. This organized and detailed individual will serve as the central support to the entire team and ensure timely delivery of all tax documents for processing.

Responsibilities:

* Perform filing, and maintenance of electronic and hard copy files by legal entity.
* Verify billings, proof and edit documents, answer telephone.
* Monitor due dates by legal entity for each taxing jurisdiction.
* Mailing or electronically filing federal and state partnership income tax returns.
* Extracting general ledger financial information on a legal entity basis.
* Assist in preparation of tax documents as directed by tax personnel.
* Prepare letters, correspondence, and reports.
* Order and maintain tax assembly supplies.
* Assemble tax returns.
* Assist with processing bills and engagement letters.
* Perform internet research regarding tax jurisdictions and miscellaneous tax related tasks.
* Perform year-end planning functions to prepare for upcoming tax season.
* Provide general administrative support to the tax team including:
* Coordinating of internal and external meetings.
* Developing MS PowerPoint presentations and prepare organizational charts.


* Assist with various special projects, as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Comfortable communicating with individuals across company divisions and with taxing jurisdictions.
* Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality.
* Ability to operate well in customer service functions.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Ability to understand and deliver team expectations.
* Proactive self-starter who seeks additional assignments with little supervision.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet searches.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience working in a corporate tax department or public firm.
* Previous administrative experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

* This position is subject to seasonal cycles depending on the tax calendar and may provide the ideal candidate an opportunity for flexibility over the work week.
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
