Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and responsible individual for full time 8-week internship. In this position, you will gain hands on professional experience and learn how the department runs.

This position is located at Eastside Office in Shafter, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities

Safety Project work includes:

* Safety Form Development - take existing safety forms and enter into Enablon Safety Database.
* Fulcrum - Perform safety observations and enter results into Fulcrum.
* Perform first aid kit and fire extinguisher inspections.
* Support additional safety project needs

Work environment/conditions: Combination office/field work; Orchard conditions are extreme, with summer temperatures regularly exceeding 100 F°.

Qualifications

* Must be Wonderful Scholar in junior or senior year of college
* Must be 18 years of age
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Self-directed and able to work autonomously
* Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
* Must be CURRENTLY ENROLLED in accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program withstudies focused on Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Compliance, BusinessAdministration, Human Resources, or related field
* Courses work in hazard assessment, OSHA, Great communication, research, and presentationskills a plus.
* Computer Proficient in Word, and Excel, and use of the Internet
* Possession of a Valid driver's license and Safe driving record is required
* Pay: $18/hr.
