* Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for assisting the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations
* Perform scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures
* Ensure that the case has the necessary sterile supplies and equipment for that surgeon and procedure
* Assist with Circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient
* Ensure adherence to Hospital, State and departmental policies and procedures

Qualifications

Job Requirements

* Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT - Certification
* Annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in the State of NJ
* Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Job Requirements

* High School or GED equivalent
* Graduate of Surgical Technologist Program
* Minimum of one (1) year as a Certified Surgical Technologist
