Innovation Specialist

Pay Grade: Admin Instr 4
Primary Purpose:
Help the district launch and implement sustainable choice school models. Oversee the planning of the choice school models; manage grant programs as appropriate and ensure campus compliance with any grant requirements.
Education/Certificate:
Bachelor's degree
Valid Texas Teacher Certificate
Master's degree (preferred)
Special Knowledge and Skills:
- Relentless focus on improving quantitative and qualitative student outcomes
- Thorough knowledge of curricular standards and accelerated instruction methodologies
- Technological expertise to enhance instructional practices and streamline administrative processes
- Strong project management skills, effectively juggling competing priorities to drive the campus towards results
- Entrepreneurial attitude with a growth mindset, readily accepting and implementing feedback
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information to various audiences.
- Consistent ability to produce quality, accurate and appropriately detailed work products for diverse stakeholders
- Ability to facilitate continuous improvement of program components through a user-focused approach to evaluation
- Strong leadership, management, interpersonal relations, public speaking and writing skills
- A desire for self-reflection, actively seek and provide feedback, and continuously strive for personal and professional growth.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience, experience with AVID curriculum and/or AVID professional development
- Experience in problem solving and a willingness to try bold, innovative strategies
- Successful experience in designing, implementing, and progress monitoring district programs
