Responsibilities
* Work in partnership with the RN and LPN to support the delivery of care in a safe patient environment that promotes caring and healing.
* Contributes to the assessment of patient's health status by collecting, recording, and reporting objective and subjective data. Timely, consistently, and accurately documents all patient interactions.
* Obtain and record patients' vital signs.
* Monitor patients and report patients' condition and promptly report any signs or symptoms of concern to appropriate party.
* Works effectively with providers and patients to schedule surgeries, imaging, lab, etc. Completes pre-authorization for all procedures or testing to ensure effective reimbursement.
* Answers phones and responds to messages in a timely manner. Communicates and interacts with all customers, (patients, visitors, co-workers, administrative staff, and physicians), in a positive and supportive manner.
* Demonstrates efficiency and dependability with assigned job responsibilities and cross-trains, as appropriate, to assist other staff members in their job duties.
* Ensure accurate documentation of observations and interventions in the medical record.
* Assist in preparing and stripping rooms as needed.
* Perform direct and indirect patient care duties as assigned and may provide clerical support to assigned department.
* Maintain department records and orders/stocks routine supplies for the department.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Current Idaho Certified Nursing Assistant certification or National or Idaho EMT licensure.
* Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Preferred Job Requirements:
* Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
* One year of experience in acute or long-term care preferred
