Longview Regional Medical Center has an opening for a RN full time Nights in our PCU/West Spine department We provide exceptional care for our patients and are looking for caring and knowledgeable team members to join us. Job Duties:
* Compliance with overall nursing practice standards of the specialty area.
* Compliance with standards/policies during assigned shift.
* Supervising, assigning and directing activities of all licensed and unlicensed caregivers and support staff during their assigned shift.
* Uses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources.
* Ensures that Longview Regional's values are reflected in all aspects of the department's operation.
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous Cardiac/ Telemetry preferred
* Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course preferred
* Previous Critical Care Course preferred
* Current Texas RN license or current Compact state license
* AHA Healthcare provider BLS; ACLS required within 6 months of transfer or hire if not current.
* Critical Care Level 1 obtained within first 6 months of hire
* Advanced certifications and training in Critical Care Nursing preferred
* Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program
* Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
* Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
* Cardiac and Tele experience preferred.
