POSITION SUMMARY:

Health First Cancer Institute (HFCI), the leading multi-disciplinary oncology group in Brevard County, Florida, is looking to add a Hematology Oncology APRN or PA to our experienced team of cancer specialists.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Evaluation and treatment of hematology and oncology patients at our Viera and Palm Bay locations.
* Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine labs, x-rays, etc.
* Monitor the patients' treatment plans and make appropriate referrals to a physician as needed.
* Counsel and educate patients and their families about disease, treatment plans, wellness care, and survivorship plans.
* Collaborate with supervising physician(s) and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients.
* Provide appropriate direction to clinic staff regarding patient care issues.
* Support education of inpatient and outpatient oncology nursing teams.
* Oversee treatment infusions and supportive care needs.
* Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

* Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license.
* Current AHA BLS Provider Certification.
* 1-2 years of experience as APRN or PA in Hematology/Oncology preferred.
* ONS Certification preferred.
