About the position Lab technicians are responsible for performing routine and non-routine lab tests on raw or bulk liquid materials, in process goods and finished products to ensure conformance with established specifications.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

* Maintain current, detailed knowledge and understanding of lab testing protocol -Perform routine and non-routine lab tests per customer product requirements.
* Perform routine lab tests on waste.
* Analyze lab tests and evaluate results for consistency.
* Maintain communication with Production and Process Support on all materials and/or products exiting the facility.
* Perform routine preventative maintenance/calibrations on lab equipment.
* Perform daily testing of instrument controls and report, troubleshoot and correct equipment.
* Monitor lab equipment to ensure proper operation and report, troubleshoot and correct any abnormal situations.
* Responsible for maintaining lab testing documentation and data entry in various databases and customer systems.
* Assist in analyzing special projects/pilots and other requests, as needed.
* Prepare and assist with audit documentation.
* Participate in quarterly round robin for performance analytics.
* Responsible for packing and shipping materials and samples as requested in compliance with all regulations.
* Provide basic lab analysis training to Unit Operators.
* Maintain familiarity of safe handling, regulatory compliance, and emergency response for products in responsible area
* Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures and participate in plant safety processes.
* Clean and prepare equipment as required for maintenance.
* Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area and elsewhere, as required.
* May be required to perform other duties, as assigned.
