JOB TITLE: Head Varsity Football Coach
LOCATION: Madison High School

SALARY: Stipend based on MEA Collective Bargaining Agreement

DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join the Madison District Public Schools team as the Madison High School Head Varsity Football Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our football program, fostering a positive and competitive team culture, and developing student-athletes both on and off the field.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous coaching experience at the high school level or above, with a proven track record of success
  • Extensive knowledge of football strategy, techniques, and training methods
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment
  • Serve as a role model to student athletes, both on and off the field.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, and staff members
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • CAP Certification preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive football program that emphasizes skill development, strategic planning, and sportsmanship.
  • Organize and conduct regular practice sessions focused on individual skill development, team tactics, and physical conditioning.
  • Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
  • Develop game strategies and make in-game adjustments as necessary to maximize team success.
  • Foster a positive team culture based on respect, integrity, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, parents, and other coaches to ensure the overall success of the football program.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes, promoting academic excellence and character development.
  • Ensure compliance with all school, league, and state regulations governing high school athletics.
