They are in the process of implementing a Pediatric Residency Program affiliated with NYU and this new provider will be an integral part of this program moving forward.

• Dentist are eligible for $100,000 or more in loan repayment through the National Health service Corps for eligible candidates
• 100% covered malpractice

• NYU Pediatric Residency Program in the process of implementation - new provider will be heavily involved in this program moving forward
• Multi-disciplinary facility with collaboration between all departments for complete and comprehensive patient care

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive oral examinations and assessments to diagnose dental conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Carry out routine and advanced pediatric dental procedures
• Conduct thorough patient consultations, explaining diagnoses and treatment options in a clear and understandable manner.
• Collaborate with other dental professionals, such as dental hygienists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive measures, and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Administer sedation and perform dental surgeries as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment plans, procedures, and outcomes.
• Stay informed about advancements in dental technology, materials, and techniques through continued education and professional development.
• Adhere to all ethical, professional, and legal standards as outlined by dental associations and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

• A degree from an accredited School of Dentistry as well as postgraduate training in Pediatric Dentistry or equivalent certification by the AAPD and State Board
• A current valid license to practice dentistry issued by the State of Maryland
• Board certification by a recognized Board of Dentistry
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Current valid DEA license
• Maintains knowledge of all Pediatric Dentistry advances through continuing education
• Eligible for sedation certification and comprehensive pediatric dental care under sedation
• 2- 5 + years of experience in direct patient care in Pediatric Dentistry and/or FQHCs or outpatient medical facilities, this includes completion of or in process of completion of Pediatric dental residency program in US .

• Active pediatric board certification or in process to completion of Board certification once eligible

• Experience in interceptive orthodontics
• Pediatric dental treatment under sedation and nitrous oxide

• Application for Hospital privileges upon hire for OR sedation cases.
