MPS Group, INC is hiring a Traveling Environmental Field Technician's for our Middletown, Ohio location. As an Environmental Field Technician, you will be a valued member of our field operations team. You will perform various tasks associated with industrial, emergency response, and remediation projects. $500.00 sign on Bonus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

* Loading equipment and materials for the job.
* Unloading equipment and materials upon arrival to the job.
* Re-loading equipment and materials upon completion of the job.
* Sets up vacuum hose and waterblast hose as directed.
* Confined space entry into tanks, pits, or other confined spaces when needed.
* Inspects, uses, and maintains various personal protection equipment including chemical protective suits, respiratory protection, safety harnesses, and air monitoring equipment.
* Uses various manual tools and equipment to affect industrial cleaning operations (i.e., shovels, scrapers, rakes, squeegies, etc.)
* Manually cleans, mucks out and de-sludges various industrial systems, including paint pits, eliminators, dip tanks, process tanks, conveyors, etc.
* Adhere to quality and safety requirements while on the job.
* Performs yard, shop, equipment maintenance, and housekeeping duties as directed.
* Any indicated site-specific responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

* No medical impairment that would prohibit the use of respiratory equipment.
* Able to pass basic medical exam.
* Able to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time.
* Able to bend to reach with 6" of the ground.
* Able to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty.
* Must have manual dexterity sufficient for use of small hand tools, handling of small parts (ex: nuts/bolts), and working with hands at various positions (ex: overhead, front, low).
* No medical condition or impairment that would place the employee or co-worker at increased risk in the event of accidental exposure to chemical agents.
* No psychological impairments that may present a safety risk to the employee or co-workers.
* Able to lift equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
* Must be able to work in extreme temperature conditions.
* Able to work in confined spaces.
* Able to work at heights.
* Good vision and hearing.
* Drug free.
* No other physical impairments that would prevent the employee from performing the duties and responsibilities previously noted.
* Lifting, carrying and pulling equipment of various size, shape, and weight.
* Carrying and setting up hose weighing up to 100 lbs.
* Climbing, standing, and working in awkward positions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will be performed in various industrial settings, inside and out, such as: chemical plants, steel mills, automotive plants, power plants, or any other such industrial environments.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High School education desired but not mandatory. Ability to understand basic equipment operating instructions, safe work practices, commercial and industrial processes, and the ability to work smart.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

* Current driver's license preferred
* Be able to pass OSHA 10 and 40 HAZWOPER training program (company paid)
* Chauffer license or ability to obtain for advancement opportunity
* Powered Industrial Truck permits desired (hi-lo, aerial lift, burden carrier, etc.)
