Overview

Reporting to the Property Manager, and under general direction, the General Maintenance/Porter is responsible for cleaning and minor building and grounds repairs and preventive maintenance of the Property

Responsibilities

* Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
* Clean and supply restrooms
* Clean windows and mirrors
* Dusting, and other tasks related with general cleaning.
* Trash removal, recycling and compacting
* Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
* Operating floor machines for cleaning, waxing and buffing
* Machine cleaning/maintenance as needed.
* Employee moves, rearranging furniture as needed
* Complete assigned work orders
* Other general cleaning or light-duty maintenance responsibility as assigned
* Provide support for dock/freight activities, receive, and log all parcels, and deliver to end users.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
* Previous janitorial experience required
* Knowledge and understanding of safety and security procedures and comply to environmental policies as it applies to cleaning chemicals
* Must provide exceptional customer service to all tenant employees and staff
* Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
* Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
* Attention to detail
* Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
* Ability to demonstrate professionalism
* Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
