Deli Worker

Job Description:
Responsible to the Associate Director of Dining Services for coordinating the operation of the Central Market deli and facilities serving of our customers during hours of operation and serving. Weekday/Weekend schedule hours will be 6:00-2:00pm.
* Slice meats, cheeses, and vegetables to prepare the deli for service to the customers during mealtime hours.
* Prepare specialty sandwiches for Fred's.
* Keep track of what deli items need ordered.
* Ensure that customers are served in a professional and timely manner.
* Ensure that the deli is cleaned properly after mealtime service.
* Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
* Train student workers and instruct them in proper safety and sanitation procedures.
* Shift hours may vary, including evenings, rotating weekends, and college closure periods. Schedule weekend shifts will be working our salad bar station.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
* Must be able to read, write, add, subtract and follow instructions.
* Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
* Three (3) to twelve (12) months of food service experience
* Serve Safe Certification required or willingness to obtain.
