About BROC:

At the Baton RougeOrthopedic Clinic our goal is to provide a seamless continuum of health careservices to maximize patients' outcomes and convenience. We offer an organizedand coordinated continuum to provide better and timelier feedback between thepatient, physician, and ancillary services provider.

Summary:

The position is in ourAfter Hours Clinic and reports directly to the Director of Operations for allmatters, including job duties, performance evaluations, approval of leave, andother assignments as deemed necessary for the benefit of the Baton RougeOrthopaedic Clinic (BROC). The nature of the duties is to provide patient carein After Hours clinic setting. The Mid-Levelwill treat patients in a caring, warm, and professional manner.

Duties:

  • Obtains patient history.
  • Performs physical examination on the patient.
  • Orders imaging and lab studies as appropriate
  • Dictates visit notes.
  • Prescribes medication, orthotics, braces, and other orthopedic devices as necessary.
  • Formulates a diagnosis; and formulates a plan of care.

Qualifications:

Physician Assistant or NursePractitioner (Family Accreditation) degree from accredited college required.

Current and valid statelicense.

2-5 years of Ortho experiencein post op care and acute trauma.

Good communication,organizational, and customer service skills.

Ability to learncomputerized medical office systems.

Ability to pass a drug screening.

Ability to learncomputerized medical office work.
