Part-Time Interventionist

The Mountain View Union Elementary School District is seeking a dynamic and innovative teacher to join our Lakeview Elementary School team. The successful applicant will be an integral component of our multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) at a 0.30 Part Time Equivalency (FTE). This position will be responsible for academic intervention in math and literacy for students in grades K-6. They will additionally be a member of weekly instructional data teams and will collaborate with colleagues to ensure that all students are receiving the instruction and support they need to experience optimal growth. Lakeview educates the children from the towns of Greensboro and Stannard from kindergarten through sixth grade as well as students in Hardwick and Woodbury through intradistrict choice. We have a strong commitment to outdoor education and place-based learning and take advantage of local resources and community partnerships in our region of Vermont.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
* Passion for inspiring and working with elementary students
* Strong understanding of child development, growth mindset, and trauma-informed practices
* Commitment to building strong relationships, preventative classroom management, and active differentiation.
* Working knowledge of researched supported best practices for early literacy instruction
