* UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities
* Evaluate orders by checking for appropriateness, processes the orders to assure optimal patient outcomes.
* Perform ongoing assessments by checking patient's responses to medications to evaluate drug therapy for appropriateness and effectiveness and recommends modification.
* Provide comprehensive drug information services to medical staff, other health care professionals and patients by understanding drug therapy management, to assure optimal patient outcomes.
* Educate and direct pharmacy personnel by actively participating in staff meetings and attending staff development in pharmaceutical care to identify learning and performance needs.
* Supervise Pharmacy Technicians
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* Bachelors in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
* Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by Texas State Board of Pharmacy and evidence of biennial renewal.
* Completion of the TSBP educational requirements in the field of compounding sterile preparations OR must be capable of completing requirements within 90 days of hire date.
Preferred Job Requirements:
* Knowledge of Hospital and Departmental Policy & Procedures as normally acquired through a 1-month orientation program.
* Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
