CERTIFIED NURSINGASSISTANT/HOME CARE AIDE

Weare looking for the right person to partner with our residents to help themcontinue to live their lives of purpose and make the most of every day byproviding the best care and support we can give them. We specialize in assisted living and memorycare. Highgate Senior Living's mission is to devote ourselves to help eachresident live a life of purpose and each of us plays a crucial role in doingso. We operate communities in the western US and are seeking the right CNA/Caregiverto join our team. This position can be full-time or part-time and includes beingresponsible for the care of our residents, which can be hands-on and/orstand-by assistance as needed. AtHighgate, providing care means to provide for the whole person, providingphysical assistance with activities of daily living and emotional,psychological, and soulful support.

The successful candidate will be an organized and detail-orientedindividual with a positive and self-motivated attitude. You must have strongcommunication and critical thinking abilities as interacting with seniors whileproviding care requires both abilities. SKILLS NEEDED:
Good customer service skills, theability to intuit, and problem solvePatience, level headedness, andcompassionAbility to pivot, change direction andaccomplish tasks with innovative approachesBackground in working with differenttypes of people with different ability levelsTeam player with ability to developstrong working relationshipsAbility to take feedback andincorporate it into your effortsAn understanding of what it takes toprovide care to residents that need physical and/or cognitive supportComfortable to adapt quickly to thechanging needs of an older adultAn understanding or the willingness togain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how residents withdementia can continue live with purpose
RELATABLE EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience working in an assisted living community or memory care community Jobs or volunteer assignments that have given you opportunities to provide care for someone Other hospitality or healthcare related experience Experience in customer service Roles in which you have been amulti-taskerOpportunities from your past whereyou have demonstrated kindness, patience, and compassion to varying groups andindividualsVolunteer work involving vulnerablegroups QUALIFICATIONS:

1- At least 18 years of age

2- Ability to obtain CPR & First AidCertification

3- Possession of CNA or HCA license

4- Current negative TB test

5- Possess the ability to sit, stand,bend, and move continuously during work hours

6- Ability to carry or transfer up to50lbs with assistance

7- Ability to pass criminalrecord/background check

8- Be efficient and exercise good timemanagement skills

9- Must be able to work wellindependently with little oversight

10- Must have a track record of top-notchorganizational abilities and communication skills

11- Willing to attend and incorporate intoyour work efforts different types of training

The hourly wage range for this position is$19.00 to $23.00 per hour. Priorexperience working with seniors is a plus.
