Head Cheerleading Coach

This 1.0 FTE position will be housed at Hinsdale South High School's H.A.V.E.N. Candidates should have a willingness and/or experience teaching high school special education within a social emotional self contained classroom. Experience with implementing general education curriculum is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Builds rapport with students while maintaining accountability


* Instructs individuals and groups based on IEP goals


* Monitors student progress


* Adapt curriculum as needed per students' IEPs


* Maintains contact with parents of students to report progress towards IEP goals


* Prepares educational records and IEP forms


* Collaboration with Related Services Providers and Administration to develop and create a therapeutic based classroom and environment


* Engage students in implementation of Dialectical Behavior Therapy Distress Tolerance skills with support from program related service providers


* Willingness to collaborate with program staff to problem solve student needs and implement short term individualized student plans


* Direct and supervise classroom paraprofessionals to support student engagemen

Current Illinois PEL with LBSI endorsement

Background and experience working with students in a therapeutic setting is preferred
