University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST (CVT) in the ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY (EP) LAB.

WORK SCHEDULE:
* 100% FTE, Full-time, 40-hours-per-week
* Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 5:30pm, with rotating day off.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
* There is no "On-Call" obligation in the EP Lab; staff sign up for 'Late Stay' to ensure some predictability in completing any cases extending beyond regular operating hours.
* Case types include diagnostic EP studies, device implantations, LAOO and ablations.
* Work as part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
* The EP Lab technologist will scrub, monitor and/or circulate diagnostic and complex electrophysiology procedures. This role requires excellent communication skills with providers and staff about changes in the patient's condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and symptomatology.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Scrub, monitor, and circulate diagnostic and complex electrophysiology (EP) cardiology procedures
* Lead extractions and device implantations
* Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities within the department
REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) program AND registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS)
* OR
Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program AND Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
* Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualification except where there are legal requirements, such as a license.
