Job Summary and Qualifications

* Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide nursing care to the psychiatric patient under the direction of the RN.


* Works as a member of a team to assist with milieu management and performs job tasks to ensure personal, patient and departmental safety.


* Communicates professionally and effectively with staff, physicians, management, external and internal customers. Ensures timely and accurate communication of patient information with all members of the treatment team.


* Leads or Co-Leads the following groups: AM goal setting, PM wrap-up and diversionary.


* Assists Charge Nurses and Shift Supervisor in maintaining efficiency.


* Completes clerical responsibilities.


* Adheres to policies and procedures. Supports the Mission of the facility.


* Pursues and takes responsibility to enhance personal and professional growth.


* Other duties as assigned.



Requirements

* Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
* Nonviolent Crisis Interv Inst, or Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date

The first medical facility in the region to provide a radioactive seed implant procedure which is a radiation therapy alternative for treating breast and prostate cancer. We specialize in orthopedics and are an accredited chest pain center.
