The therapist is qualified to assume primary responsibilities for all respiratory care. Under the supervision of a physician, the therapist is required to exercise considerable independent clinical judgment in the respiratory care of patients. This position must demonstrate competence in assessment, range of treatment and knowledge of growth and development appropriate to the age and disabilities of the patients treated.
