UPMC Cole Memorial Medical Group is currently hiring for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient float pool team. This is a Monday through Friday, dayshift position with no weekend or holiday commitments These are 8-hour shifts, as scheduled, between 7:30am and 6:30pm. The offices covered by this team are listed below, and UPMC offers competitive reimbursement rates for travel. * Sign-On Bonus Details:
* $5,000 - 2yr Commitment | Less than 1-year exp. (including new grads)
* $7,500 - 2yr Commitment | More than 1-year exp.



Purpose:

Provides professional nursing care to office patients under the supervision of patient care providers.

Responsibilities:

* Draw blood.
* Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
* Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drips.
* Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
* Assess the patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
* Comply with all policies and procedures.
* Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
* Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
* Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
* Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

Qualifications:

* Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
* Flexibility to travel and work from different offices.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
* CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire


* Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
* Act 33 with renewal
* Act 34 with renewal
* Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
