Compensation: Non-exempt, pay range $35.22-$54.80

Job Summary:
Perform all computed tomography procedures and diagnostic radiology exams. Provide for the normal care and safety of patients undergoing computed tomography procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
2. Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
3. Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
4. Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label. Film/transmit to PACS.
5. Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
6. Maintain accurate patient records.
7. Performs all aspects of patient care in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors; documents according to established standards; communicates effectively.
8. Develops and maintains professional and clinical skills. Completes all annual competency and education requirements within established parameters and timeframes. Participates in staff meetings, patient care meetings, educational in-services, and other professional activities. Maintains awareness of policies and procedures and performance standards.
9. Assist in the orientation and training to new CT technologists.
10. Additional related duties and projects as assigned.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, all employees are expected to support the Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics mission, vision, and values; comply with District policies and procedures; and conduct themselves in an ethical, professional, respectful, and collaborative manner at all times.

Required Education and Experience:
1. Completion of an accredited training program in radiologic technology.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
1. Current active status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
2. Washington State Certification in Radiologic Technology.
3. AART CT registry required within 1 year of employment as a CT technologist.
4. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification within180 days from date of hire
