Medical Assistant- Cardiology

Apply now for our Full Time Medical Assistant opportunity with a busy cardiology office in Marborough, CT This position is within CT's 2nd largest employer offering room for growth, the ability to experience different specialties, and also the opportunity for permanent hire
Specialty: Cardiology
Medical Assistant daily role:
+ Greeting and rooming patients
+ Recording vitals
+ Performing EKG's & stress tests as needed
+ Stress tests, holter monitors, loop monitors
+ Respond to patient messages
+ Assist at the front desk
+ Update patient history using Epic EMR system
+ Assist providers in procedures
+ Must be comfortable performing administrative duties including scheduling appointments, performing insurance verifications, & also prior authorizations.
Work environment:
+ This role includes both clinical and administrative duties
+ Fast paced cardiology office, 25-30 patients per day
+ Must be comfortable floating to satellite offices as needed (will be notified in advance)
Schedule & Locations:
· 7:30-5pm. Full time 40 hour work week
· Monday - Friday, no weekends required
Must Have Requirements:
+ 1+ year of medical assisting experience
+ Cardiology experience not required but preferred
+ Must be comfortable working with all ages
+ Must be comfortable commuting between offices as needed (rare occasion)
+ Must have medical assistant diploma, CMA/RMA preferred
+ Must have prior EMR/EHR experience, Epic preferred
