Description
Samford University is seeking a Temporary General Assistant to support various departments across the campus. This flexible role is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic academic environment and are proficient at handling a variety of tasks. The successful candidate will assist with administrative duties and daily operations, providing crucial support where it is most needed.
Job Duties
The specific tasks and responsibilities assigned to this role will vary depending on the department you are placed in, reflecting the diverse needs of our thriving academic community. You will be expected to perform a variety of functions, which may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence to support departmental functions.
- Provide front desk support, greeting and directing visitors, answering phone calls, and providing information about university services.
- Assist with specific projects by collecting data, preparing reports, and maintaining records. The nature of project support can differ greatly between departments.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operations and delivery of high-quality service to students, faculty, and staff.
