As the Cardiac Technician, you will perform routine Cardiology tests according to established policies and procedures. You will work independently at request of the medical team. You will assume responsibility for professional growth and development by learning rhythm and EKG interpretation. You will exhibit positive interpersonal skills since 80% of the time is spent in relating to others. You will follow universal precautions and adheres to established policies and procedures for Infection Control. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members, and medical staff by striving for excellence in service and quality.

You will be responsible for:
  • Reviews request to obtain vital information. Copies and delivers reports with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operates equipment safely. Reports faulty equipment immediately.
  • Recognizes and reports life-threatening arrhythmias. Scans Holter monitors accurately and prepares reports for physician review.
  • Responds to "Code", "Stat", "ASAP", and "Now" requests in a timely manner.
  • Complies with time and attendance in accordance with Health System policies.
  • Understands policies and procedures for EKG, Holter Monitor application, B/P Monitor application, SAEKG, Code Blue and other monitoring situations.
  • Successful completion of other duties as may be assigned.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Clinical experience required.
  • Ability to deal with stressful clinical situations. Positive interpersonal communication skills and guest relations. Ability to scan Holter monitors.
