- The University of Miami UMHC/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Comprehensive Treatment Unit (CTU) Department has an exciting opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a certified professional that fulfills the need of patient care in the hospital.
- Through collaborative efforts with members of the interdisciplinary team, the CNA performs various duties under the direction of the nurse, charge nurse and/or unit director or designee.
- The CNA performs various duties and observes the patients' conditions and reports to the nurse.
- Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a Current Florida C.N.A. and BLS (CPR) certification.
- One (1) year of patient care experience in a Acute Care (Hospital) setting preferred. Any combination of experience, education and/or certifications will be considered.

As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
- Failure to meet this requirement will result in rescinding or termination of employment.
