Position Information:
WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with over 425 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. WakeMed is a leader in cardiac and vascular care, women's and children's services, emergency medicine and trauma care, physical rehabilitation, orthopaedics and neurosciences.
We are currently seeking a physician to join our OB Hospitalist team in a supplemental / casual capacity with dedicated coverage of one to two 12 hour shifts per week. Coverage of weekend requirements will be rotational among the team. The OB hospitalist team provides coverage for all unassigned OB and GYN patients presenting to the WakeMed North Hospital, covering the ED and OBED. Our team provides call coverage, surgical assistance and L&D support for contracted OBGYN groups. The OB Hospitalists lead the OB rapid response team, oversee CNMs and provide oversight and clinical teaching for third and forth year medical students.

Eligible candidates should be BE/BC in OBGYN and be proficient with core obstetrical and gynecological procedures. Ideal candidates will have at least years of professional experience. Fellowship/Internship/Residency - Related Area And 2 Years Clinical - Obstetrics/Gynecology Required - And Clinical - Related Area Preferred

Doctorate Medicine Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed Medical Physician Required - And Board Certification in Area of Practice Preferred
Hours of Work:
Two 12 hour shifts per week
