General Responsibilitites:

To assist the teacher, supervisor and/or aide in caring for the children and maintaining the physical environment of the school facility

Major Tasks:

* Helps maintain existing physical environment in good condition.
* Maintains interpersonal environment that:
* Provides warmth and affection to all children equally.
* Fosters self-esteem, respect for others, and independence; and Provides for individual differences and abilities.
* Establishes good communication with parents.
* Assists teacher, supervisor and/or aide in carrying out daily activities.
* Participates in self and school evaluations.
* Helps supervise children during education and play activities meeting their needs for attention, guidance, and safety.
* Assists teacher, supervisor and/or aide, in leaving center cleaned, materials put away, and rooms locked. When requested, stays with teacher, supervisor, and/or aide until all children are picked up.
* Reports to teacher, supervisor, and/or aide.
* In charge of setting up activities & supplies before the students arrive.
* Helps with tutoring club when necessary.
* Attends Kids Club meetings and training when applicable.

Qualifications:

* High School student in good standing.
* Some experience with children preferred; especially Child Development classes.
* Exhibit flexibility, creativity, and willingness to learn.
* FLSA: Hourly
