Duties:

* Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction.
* Greet customers and present menu.
* Take orders and serve food and beverages in a timely fashion.
* Check products for quality and correct any problems.
* Collect payment
* Oversee the production of foods for the shift according to standards issued by the unit manager, assistant unit manager, chef and general supervisor maintaining a high standard of quality.
* Check food in for the next event's meals.
* Fill reports in concerning usage of product in all areas as well as making notes concerning production of foods for said meal.
* Record internal temperatures for finished food items.
* Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of work area during and after service.
* During slow periods, maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the food truck or storage areas.
* Ensure clean plates, cups, utensils, etc. as well as other cleaning related duties as directed by Supervisor/Manager.
* Performs closing duties to include: check levels of water tanks, turn off all equipment, check inventory, check goods for quality and expiration, secure all doors, drains water, cleans sinks, empties trash, cleans pail, and connects truck power cord.
* Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen to prepare food, such as pots, and pans, mixers, slicer, mixer, etc.
* Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
* Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
* Record the daily temperatures for all cooler/freezers.

Schedule:

* Schedule will vary depending on food truck events.
* Some daytime and some evenings.

Other:

* Assist in upholding all policies and procedures as instituted by CADI and/or SUNY Delhi.
* Inform supervisor of any safety issues discovered in the workplace.
* Maintain standards of sanitation, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
* Maintain good working relationships among employees.
* May be called upon to perform other duties not specifically described here.
* Become familiar with some phases of management in a daily working situation

Requirements:

* Service orientation and excellent organizational skills
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Active listening and effective communication competencies
* Must have working knowledge of fundamental culinary skills
* Must be able to follow standardized recipes, resulting in a quality-finished product, as assigned according to specific area
* Must be knowledgeable and practicing in food service safety and sanitation
* Must possess a positive attitude and practice positive customer conduct
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
* GPA over a 2.0
