Henry Ford's Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a full time, Medical Physicist. Responsibilities will include clinical physics services in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital, and the department satellite clinics, as necessary. Work closely with the director of clinical physics and the physics division director to accomplish your clinical duties. Assist with clinical physics services across our system, as needed. Opportunities for clinical service on development and implementation of new technologies will exist, among other routine clinical responsibilities. As part of the academic mission of the HFMG, involvement in education, as well as research and development, is required and will be supported. We will continue to support involvement in the education of physics residents, medical residents (as part of our annual radiation physics course for medical residents), as well as medical physics students involved in research projects at HFHS from Michigan State University, Wayne State University, Oakland University or other affiliated institutions. In addition to working non-traditional hours as required, staff are expected to contribute to the development and enhancement of the HFMG by participating in programs supportive of our mission such as education, research, quality improvement, and practice management. Continued growth as a skilled physicist in a specialty area is also expected. These duties and responsibilities are subject to change with the changing needs of HFMG

MS or PhD in Medical Physics or a related field, with board certification in Therapeutic medical physics preferable. 5+ years' experience as a medical physicist in radiation oncology is also preferred.
