A leading division of this company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Irvine, California. As part of this dynamic and growing company, you will be responsible for the accounts payable function, including processing development and corporate invoices, tracking costs to projects, preparing weekly check runs, and supporting the development team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $55,000 to $60,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices, tracking project costs, and preparing weekly check runs
  • Document financial transactions, including journal entries for wire transfers, ACH payments, and manual payments
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure invoice coding is accurate
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements and complete payment processing
  • Maintain records and generate forms for 1099 reporting
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and provide guidance on processes
  • Organize, maintain, and distribute accounting records, documents, and reports
  • Ensure timely month-end closing by accurately posting entries
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Controller

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Good judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with and present to senior leaders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
