**Minimum Qualifications:**
Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required.
**Job Description:**
Performs varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments.
**Job Duties:**
+ Participating in the daily activities and work assignments of research staff.
+ May train new students.
+ Planning and coordinating complex research experiments following standard operating procedures.
+ Working with Principal Investigator(s) to coordinate project activities and establish appropriate reporting procedures.
+ Contributing to scientific analysis and interpretation of projects.
+ Establishing and maintaining quality control measures for assigned project operations.
+ Making modifications to research procedures in collaboration with the Principal Investigator(s) and contributing to the writing of SOPs and protocols.
+ May participate in quality control of experiments performed by of junior staff.
+ Ensuring the accurate calibration and operation of a variety of laboratory equipment as defined by appropriate guidelines.
+ Adhering to internal controls established for department.
+ Performing related duties as required.
+ Ensuring, together with all members of the Laboratory, that biosafety rules are respected at all times.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or similar
