Washington, United States Rocketship Education Full time

Our Integrated Special Education (ISE) team serves students across all disabilities (mild, moderate, and severe) through an innovative approach to special education that includes co-teaching and deep partnership with our general education partners and other instructional staff. To best serve our Rocketeers with severe needs, we have developed a Specialized Inclusion Program (SIP) that ensures our students can receive the necessary supports and services, while still spending a majority of their time in a general education setting. Through these innovative approaches, Rocketship has been able to realize significant academic gains for Rocketeers with disabilities.

Position Summary:

Rocketship School Psychologists are responsible for providing both direct and indirect support to students, families, and staff members in order to ensure high quality programming for students with disabilities.

At Rocketship Public Schools, our psychs serve a small number of elementary schools. A typical day includes attending pre-referral meetings, initial/triennial assessment, behavior consultation, direct and indirect support of students receiving social emotional intervention, and supporting school leaders in implementing MTSS systems. Our schools utilize a meaningful inclusion model for special education, so an integral part of the day-to-day work is supporting teams in creating plans that allow all students, regardless of disability, to spend the majority of their day in the general education classroom.

* Assist in coordinating, communicating and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriate.
* Maintain a compliant practice.
* Some campuses may require consultation, collaboration, creation, and implementation of 504 plans
* Some campuses may require additional consultation around social emotional and behavioral systems and structures
* Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the Associate Director, School Psychology .
