Job Title: Deputy Controller

FLSA Status: Exempt (Full Time)

Reports To: Pinnacle VP of Corporate Controlling

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Deputy Controller to join our dynamic team and our international company. As a key member of our finance department, the Deputy Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various accounting and AP functions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

* Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
* Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and performance metrics tracking to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
* Audit Management: Coordinate and facilitate audits conducted by external auditors, ensuring timely completion and resolution of any audit findings.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
* Financial Policy and Procedure: Build and maintain financial policy and procedure regarding to internal control purpose. Monitor the procedures and make changing if necessary.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
* Risk Management: Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the financial stability and sustainability of the organization.
* Advisory Support: Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management, offering insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is must.
* Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role minimum 5 years.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. IFRS knowledge is preferable.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and analytical skills.
* Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus especially Great Plain and SAP Concur.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Big four experience is preferable.
