Biomedical Specialist

Full-Time, Days

Job Description:
  • Under limited supervision, the BMET Specialist installs, test, repairs, maintains, and calibrates clinical medical devices following established policies and procedures and according to manufacturer guidelines and recommendations.
  • The BMET Specialist complies and adheres to hospital and departmental policies and regulatory standards and guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering technology, Electronics Technology, or Information Technology with a minimum of 7 years' experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Information Technology
  • Combination of a Biomedical Certificate from an accredited technical school which includes Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology as part of their curriculum and 12 years of experience
  • Military Biomedical Experience
  • Combination of above with ten (10) years of continuous working in a hospital biomedical setting.
  • Attended Evolving Leaders Workshop as established by BHLEX
  • AAMI CBET certification, Networking A+, IT Project, Cybersecurity desirable
