Trinity Industries is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team at our headquarters in Dallas, TX.

What you'll do:

* Preparation of year end and quarterly ASC 740 calculations
* Preparation of a large consolidated federal tax return and extensions
* Ensure timely payment of federal, state, and local estimated tax payments
* Research on various tax matters.
* Responding to federal and state tax authorities on issues as they are identified
* Improve tax processes through technology
* Gather of information for state tax returns
* Work with third party on outsourced state tax returns
* Forecasting and planning on a monthly basis

What you'll need:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
* Master's degree in accounting or similar, preferred
* Big 4 or large regional accounting firm experience preferred
* 5+ years of tax experience with a focus on corporate taxation
* CPA or in process of obtaining
* ASC 740 experience
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Strong Excel skills
* Experience with Alteryx
* Working knowledge of ERP systems will be an asset
* Knowledge of OneSource OTP and OIT
