**Overview**

Work in the heart of _\#humankindess_ at CHI St. Aleixus Health Devils Lake.

Working as a Med Tech at our Critical Access Hospital, you'll perform a wide range of technical procedures analyzing blood and various body fluids in order to expedite the physician's diagnosis and treatment of patients. You'll assist with quality audits in accordance with accrediting agencies.

Technical duties will include routine patient testing, complex red cell antibody identification, and preparation of blood components for transfusion.

Every interaction is an opportunity to improve your understanding of a patient's needs, the needs of your patient care team, or the needs of your facility. You'll advocate for your team as you support them in reaching their full potential, aligning with our operational goals and objectives.

Work involves confidential patient diagnosis and test results, requiring the employee to respect the patient's right to confidentiality. To thrive in this role, you will have excellent communication skills and interact pleasantly and professionally with all co-workers, medical staff, patients, visitors and others.

This is a PRN casual as needed position.

CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital accredited by The Joint Commission licensed by the North Dakota State Department of Health and certified by the Department of Health and Human Services for participation in the Medicare Program. **Responsibilities**

**_What you'll do..._**

+ In collaboration with the Medical Laboratory Director, manages the Quality Assurance Program for the department.

+ Develops and maintains a service orientation in performing duties with fellow employees, patients, medical staff and visitors.

+ Has operational responsibility for the clinical/technical aspects of a section of the laboratory.

+ Performs job duties of Medical Technologist; performing a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures of a moderately and highly complex nature, following established standards and practices to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school.

+ Current certification as one of the following: Med Tech (Medical Tech), Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS), Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), Medical Lab Technologist (MLT).

+ Certification by ASCP or NCA.

+ Licensed Med Tech in the state of North Dakota.

**Pay Range**

$22.95 - $33.28 /hour
