Position Description: Driver

Job Responsibilities:

The Driver plays a key role in ensuring materials are consistently delivered to job sites as anticipated. The primary responsibility of this position is to drive to and from pre-arranged sites where materials are being delivered as needed. In order to accomplish this, a Driver must perform daily pre and post trip inspections and keep consistent and accurate written records of findings and observations.

Job Requirements:

* Friendly with good, clean appearance


* Takes pride in work


* Possess valid driver's license and auto insurance


* Possess valid CDL license


* Possess high school diploma or equivalent


* Applicants are subject to a background check and must pass a pre-employment drug screen


* Maintain professionalism while on the highway, including knowing and abiding by all DOT regulations (i.e. maintenance of service logs, speed limits, warnings)


* Ability to perform daily inspections of vehicle in accordance to DOT regulations


* Ability to learn and comply with the legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes


* Committed to high level of customer satisfaction


* Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment


* Possess strong customer relations skills


* Must be reliable and dependable


* Possess strong organizational and time management skills


* Possess basic carpentry skills (i.e. trim work, roofing, replace windows, realign doors, patch wallboard)


* Possess basic repair skills (i.e. repair/replace toilets, water heaters, light fixtures, door/cabinet hardware)


* Ability to work in all environments (extreme heat/cold, rain/snow)


* Ability to lift and move furniture, wallboard, water heater, etc. (100 lbs.)


* Ability to stand for long periods of time


* Order parts and materials for home repair


* Bill back the plant on warranty issues


* Organize, schedule and file customer service issues


* Maintain good Home Center appearance


* Cooperative and collaborative, willing and eager to work in a team environment, assist with miscellaneous duties as required



Compensation:

* As a CDL Driver with Clayton Homes, you will receive an hourly wage.
* Pay: $26.00+
