Salary: $1,509 - $2,473 Biweekly (Dependent on Qualifications)

ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. May be asked to work overtime as necessary to meet department objectives.
Responsibilities
Inspects new and existing residential and commercial construction for conformance with adopted Codes and Ordinances. Performs field inspections of Plumbing, and Mechanical components and ensures construction location conforms to adopted Codes and Ordinances. Maintains records on all inspections performed. Coordinates with design professionals, developers, contractors, and homeowners regarding building inspection activity. Performs data collection and data entry relating to inspections. Operates City vehicle from project site to project site. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position requires a High School Diploma/GED with five (5) years of related experience. Must have a State of Texas Plumbing Inspector License at time of application. Must be ICC certified in Plumbing, or Mechanical Inspection at time of application. A valid driver's license is required at time of application. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
