We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team
This is a PRN position working 1-2 shifts per week, or as needed.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team This is a PRN position working 1-2 shifts per week, or as needed.
Responsibilities
* Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders
* Collects and analyzes blood to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases
* Responds to emergency situations
* Maintains competencies to ensure compliance with all regulatory statutes
* Administers medication and treatments in accordance with policies
* Makes rounds to adequately maintain patient's equipment, therapeutic listings
* Reports identified unusual patient conditions/reactions to immediate supervisor
* Prepares electronic documentation of all work/service rendered and provides written/verbal report to oncoming staff
* Performs quality control on all cardiopulmonary equipment
* Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
* Maintains safe environment
* Addresses patient population-specific needs
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care required
* Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) Permit - Required upon Hire
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required upon hire
* National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
* American Heart Association (AHA) approved certifications:
* Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required upon Hire
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Required within 90 Days of hire
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Required within 90 Days of hire
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Required within 90 Days of hire
* Minimum one (1) year of adult and pediatric critical care experience
