As a Dining Assistant at The Claiborne, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those in need while enjoying a range of benefits and incentives. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, patient, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, as well as a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities For Dining Assistants

* Makes resident satisfaction the number one priority.
* Serves meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient and courteous manner.
* Assures compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g., serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.).
* Assists residents with menu selections as needed.
* Tracks residents' attendance at meals.
* Delivers meals to resident rooms as required.
* Prepares dining room prior to each meal by performing necessary cleaning and stocking.
* Cleans tables and chairs after meals and pick-up floor areas.
* Returns all dishes to the kitchen.
* Always maintains clean and sanitary work environment.
* Reports equipment safety issues to Dining Services Director.
* Cooperates to get work done and is flexible with daily schedule. Assists in food inventory and/or wash dishes when needed.
* Assists in breaking down deliveries and puts away stock as needed.
* Follows standards for time and attendance.
* Displays professionalism and friendliness when dealing with residents, families and visitors.
* Provides support to community's marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.
* Communicates any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
* Maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards.
* Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
* Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
* Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
