Overview

The Clinical Coordinator performs under the daily supervision of the Program Director.

Responsibilities

* Correlate and coordinate clinical education and evaluate its effectiveness
* Evaluate the progress of student performance in the clinical area
* Assist the Program Director in coordinating clinical education
* Supervise student performance at clinical affiliates
* Develop student objectives and evaluation tools for clinical education
* Perform competency based clinical evaluations
* Maintain student clinical assignments and attendance
* Act as resource to sonography students
* Responsible for Schedule of student clinical assignments to match established JRDMS guidelines
* Assist in continuous program assessment
* Instruct specific units of teaching as necessary
* Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress
* Pursue continuing education in professional practice and instructional methodology
* Cooperate with the Program Director in periodic review and revision of clinical course material
* Provide training and education to clinical preceptors

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

* Bachelors degree required
* Graduate of an educational program in Sonography
* 2 years of clinical experience as a sonographer
* State certificate as a Sonographer

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

* Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and counseling

Travel

* Travel to affiliate clinical sites

Maximum Salary

USD $72,000.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $57,600.00/Yr.
