Minimum Education
□ High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or three years of directly related work may be substituted for the required education; or completion of a career institute or community college course of study in medical office management

Coursework in medical office/health information management, electronic health records, or medical terminology or one year of experience in a medical office setting is required.

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be able to prioritize workload based on departmental and organizational fiscal goals to support coding and billing. Ability to operate standard office equipment including electronic medical records, computers, Microsoft Office products such as Word and Outlook, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines.
