Job Details
MT/ MLT needed ASAP Qualifications & Skills: a) Education: The employee must fulfill one of the following education requirements as required by CLIA regulations. 1. Master's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science; OR 2. Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science. Applicants without current certification take and pass the ASCP, NCA (MT/MLS) or equivalent exam within 6 months of hire. In the event that the employee does not pass registry exam the employee will be placed on probation and must retake and pass exam within three months as a condition of employment. In the event that the registration exam is not passed on the second attempt, the employee will not be eligible to be employed as a Medical Technologist until receiving a passing score on the registry exam. b) Training and experience: Must have at least 3 months of training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing. Training may include previous employment, on-site or as part of an education curriculum.
