CDL Drivers transport goods to and from specified locations within a designated geographic area. Ensuring that materials are well secured and that deliveries/pickups/jobsite specific functions are completed in a timely manner.

About Island Mechanical

Island Mechanical Corporation is a general contractor in Hawaii specializing in pipeline construction, fabrication and directional drilling for major utility companies, refineries, and the federal government.

Responsibilities

* Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment
* Ability to move and drive tractor trailers or truck and trailer combinations
* Perform safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights, and mirrors prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readiness
* Follow and maintain loading protocols
* Inspect trailers before and after loading
* Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance
* Always adhere to traffic safety regulations, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities
* Must be able to drive without restrictions

Other related duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

* Class A CDL License
* Two years of experience working as a CDL driver with no safety incidents on record
* Flexibility to travel
* Ability to work extended hours when necessary for business needs
* Experience working in construction is a plus
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Ability and willingness to travel as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities

* None

Physical Requirements

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
* Prolonged periods standing and walking
* Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
* Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
* Must be able to see to visually inspect machines and verbally communicate
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds

Pay- $ 25.00 - $ 37.00 /Hourly *Depending on Experience levels
