CDL Driver, Class A

**Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday plus (if you want hours) additional days on off days- You may be over the road 1-2 nights per week depending on route (includes per diem and Hotel)**

**Start time varies between 4:30am and 8:30**

**Pay- $70k + per year Depending on routes and loads**

**Description**

+ Drive a tractor-trailer (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler) combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver dry groceries to retail customers. Strive to provide a positive customer experience by completing the delivery with professionalism.

+ Driver is responsible for making an average of 3 stops per day (with possible overnight). At point of delivery, Driver is responsible for unload and driver assistance. Pallets can consist of all types of products with a range of pallet height and pallet weight. Whenever possible, backhauls will be added where and when possible.

+ For specific customers, Drivers will be required to count cases as well as pallet verification upon delivery

+ Ability to maneuver truck into loading or unloading position in tight urban areas. Ability to operate trailer lift gate in a safe manner (company will train and certify as needed) for curbside deliveries

+ In accordance with I.C.C. regulations, effective use of electronic logging equipment (People Net), conduct Pre-trip and Post-Trip vehicle inspections for equipment condition reporting

+ Warehouse : Freezer (-20F to 0F)

**Skills**

+ Specialized Knowledge : DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver's License, Retail Deliveries in Urban Locations

+ Special Skills : Lift gate deliveries with MHE

+ Physical abilities: : Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam, Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam

+ Other: : Position is union represented

+ Enjoy working with people - Quality and customer-service focused : MHE certification (Company will certify upon hire)

**Years Of Experience**

+ 1-2 : Require 1-year of prior CDL-A driving urban delivery experience, valid CDL-A license

+ 1-2 : Ability to understand bill of lading in order to fully execute assignments

+ 1-2 : DOT Certified
